Hi all
Since my trial expired I now have a non working full scan. It is stuck on 0% for hours. I feel avast free is quite useless and I have now been left unprotected !! If I download yet another trial won’t I will be told that my trial has expired ??!! Help please !
Why don’t you download the free version?
Start using the free version of avast. It does an excellent job.
Follow these instructions:
- Download the avast uninstall utility tool from here https://www.avast.com/en-nz/uninstall-utility
- Download the avast free installer from here https://www.avast.com/en-nz/index
- Disconnect your computer from the internet.
- Go to add/remove and uninstall your trial version of avast and follow the instructions.
- Run the tool from step 1 and it will tell you that this tool will run your computer in safe mode automatically. Follow the instructions.
- Re-connect your computer to the internet and run the avast free installer in step 2. Follow the instructions. Once it get installed, it will do a quick start up scan. Once done, restart your computer manually. Register your copy of avast.
Note: Registering your copy of avast antivirus free edition gives you 1 year protection. Once it gets expired, just re-register again. Registering is absolutely free.
After 2 days of trying to get it to work It has finally suceeded YAY !
