Go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then then update your Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice.

1,67GHZ, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Windows 7 starter 32bit - netbook, 2 days on hand (grand present)

Go to avast 5.

How about energy save and speed 4 and 5 avast on this mashine?

Energy save? ???
You can hibernate or sleep the computer with avast. The engine is optimized, so less “energy” should be spent.
You don’t have to run on-demand scannings…

Speed? Well, it’s not a resource hog for sure.

:smiley: ===WOW=== How emotinal
My practice tells a different answer!
About speed - when I install avast! free 5.0 on my old notebook (PIII 650, RAM 128Mb, Hdd 8gb WinXPsp3)- “he” off first startup, realy slow startup(~35 min), reinstall 4.8 - work stable, strart up speedly(12 min).
And its naturaly why I ask about version of avast using!!!

Why so @hogy@ to simple question?

Have a nice day!

Running XP on a PIII with only 128MB RAM must have been really slow.

Getting a netbook with Windows 7 system as a present is nice. 8)

You can update your signature like I recommended with 1,67GHZ, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Windows 7 starter 32bit - netbook so that you do not have to enter it into your posts.

You are fibbing, aren’t you? My friend also has a PIII 650Mhz with 128MB RAM with Avast! 5 installed and his startup time is somewhat around 2 and a half minutes! There is no reason why your notebook starts in 35min. 35 min is a long long long time. Anyone would probably kick his computer if the starup time was that long. Waiting for 2 to 3 min is OK, but half an hour for starup is yuck! I aslo run Avast! 5 on my slower PC(PIII, 937Mhz, 256MB RAM, Windows XP SP-2) and the startup time is somewhere around 57 secs. I use Avira 10 on my Windows 7 PC though I consider to change it to Avast! 5 also given the worthlessness of Avira 10.

fibbing???
Hey, fibbing a Dog!
I am stating the facts! If you’re fibbing Stran05, do not blame others!

YoKenny: I know this :)( about slow, and about Nice ::slight_smile: - its realy nice!

thanks for all
Thank you for your help : YoKenny,Tech
