Due to Windows 10 1809 being pulled from going onto more systems, I upgraded via clean install on 10/3/2018, haven’t reinstalled Avast Free yet, right now relying on Windows Defender, is it safe to reinstall Avast as this point? or should I wait til after the first cumulative patch, then reinstall Avast?
I personally have not noticed any issue with Avast and my 1809 ( Build 17763.1) update, which went smoothly and has not presented problems that I’ve noticed on any of my OS’s. ???
Oh ok, I usually clean install with Defender activated, then reinstall Avast, but haven’t gotten that done yet, plan to ASAP here though, otherwise should be fine as haven’t noticed any other issues
Surprised so many adverse reports about 1809 such that Microsoft has pulled it for now. ??? One Microsoft user reported having lost over 220 GB of personal data and files when upgrading from 1803 to 1809!
This is the first upgrade to start without bugs since 10.0.10240 (before 1511). Lessee, we’re talking more than 19 build upgrades since 10.0?
I got lucky and don’t think to lost any data, but I usually keep my data on my storage drive that was disconnected during the main part of clean install, then I realized need to reinstall Avast yet, but not seeing any problems with Avast and 1809 so far, so yeah gonna do that still tonight, then think all set.
Hopefully not another clean install needed, and just a cumulative update patch at some point
