Hiya everyone, hope you can help me make sense of this please. I’ve downloaded the avast! free anti-virus roughly 2 weeks ago now. And when I run the scans, in the results that show at the end, which shows you the content which has been scanned, it tells you that you can remove files etc if their infected and what not. Only it won’t give me that option because it says error password protected. Is that something on my computer which I need to change for avast! to get into to scan right? Or is avast! running perfectly normal on my system and showing like that because it can’t show me my password for safety reasons? Hope I’m making sense and thanx in advance! xx
- No.
- Nothing to worry about.
A PW-protected file can’t be scanned, that’s all.

That’s great thankyou, I just wanted to make sense of it, with this being new to me. I had Norton on before, must admit, I’m finding this alot better and quicker. xx
You’re welcome…!
