Avast Free Antivirus & Adobe Flash/ problem for my browsers

As I said in my first post a little while ago, I am new to Avast and like it a lot so far.

To view statistics I was asked to install Adobe flash, which I did. I was then able to see the statistics.
However, this led to a problematic Flash for my browsers–Firefox, my primary browser, and IE8, which is only enabled for updates to windows. You-tube and Hulu would crash Firefox (and IE8 too).

When I figured this out, I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash, and thus You-tube and Hulu were re-enabled.

However, Avast stopped showing statistics and asked me to install Flash.

I don’t mind having two installations of Flash, one for Avast and one for my browsers, but I would prefer that they not interfere with each other. Any ideas?

ps I can’t find where to make a signature. That way I could give stats for my 2 computers.

Well, now both the Avast stats and my streaming flash programs are working.
No idea why but happy.

I did not think that DSL could go above 20MB/sec. ???
