avast free home editon. I have a red x at the right hand corner of my scrren on the avast icon. I clicked on it and it says unable to scan no end point ? please help
Have you rebooted ?
If so and the problem still exists - Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
we had pc shield deluxe and we uninstalled it.
Well before this topic I had never heard of pc shield deluxe. After a google search I’m even more concerned as it could be associated with a rogue security application depending on where you got it (some sites have a bad reputation) ?
So it might not be so easy to remove.
