Avast Free Antivirus Installation Not Complete

Hello.

Please the installation of avast on my pc has been on 99% for days now. It began with the message contained in the attached file which appeared on the screen during the installation and has appeared everytime that I start up the computer. I tried uninstalling but it didn’t work. I tried manually deleting avast folder, I wasn’t allowed despite being the administrator. So what can I do?

The avast user interface has remained as shown the attachment for 2 or 3 days now.

Hello, the error message you sent in your first post is caused by running Windows 7 without necessary updates (Windows Updates). In this case, you need to install at least KB2533623, preferably all Windows Updates.

Without product logs, I am unable to tell you what’s exactly going on but it’s likely related to the “AddDllDirectory” error.

Thanks drake127 for your response. But it turned out that the issue resolved itself. The installation is complete and I have been able to upgrade to Avast Premium Security.
