"Avast free antivirus installed successfully" will not stop

Hello all,
I have Avast Anti Virus Free and I like it. However, every time I start the computer, I get the popup “Avast free antivirus installed successfully” as well as the gift box icon that will not turn on or go off.

How to I prevent the popup and gift box icon from coming on every time I start the machine?

I’ve tried everything other than remove and reinstall.

Other security related software installed…?
Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Tried “Repair” and have the same problem.
Should I completely uninstall and reinstall?

By the way, the Gift Box keeps popping up too.

Give a true clean installation a try and let us know if it solved the problem or not.

Well, I used the Avast removal tool to uninstall Avast free and reinstalled the latest version.

Same issue. Popup and gift box appear each time I start the computer.

I suspect this is built in to the free version and if you want it to stop, you have to get the paid version.

Anyone here have the free version and does NOT have this issue?

Nope, it should only happen the first time you boot.

I deleted the gift box and used Avast Cleanup and Avast Clear.

So far, the pop up is gone.
