There’s an ongoing problem (probably since the old avast 7) with the Hebrew version of Avast Free Antivirus. (and maybe in other Right-To-Left versions)
The Duration in seconds box under Popups in the General tab in the settings is unclickable.
The only way to set this timer is to click Tab until the cursor is present in that box.
Is this an issue I should address here and get help so it’ll be fixed for the Hebrew version users, or should I address it to the support of avast?
There isn’t a Hebrew section/board. Give your ticket some time, it could take a couple
of weeks until avast responds. Whatever you do “don’t call customer support”. It’s a
third party support racket and they will do a hard sell to promote their products.
Please keep in mind we are users just like you and we volunteer our time to assist others here on the forums.
There is always someone willing to help whenever you need it 24/7.
Thank you for your congrats and for your quick reply.
While I do have a problem in the Hebrew version, I do suspect that it’s valid to any Right-To-Left version, and this is why I asked if anyone can confirm if this issue occurs also to him/her.
I hope I’ll get a response from other users.
I’ll wait for a response from other users and from avast support and will update here if there’ll be anything new.
Rojan Piya from avast technical support confirmed that this is a bug and it was reported to the appropriate department so it’ll be fixed in the next version.
I’m still not sure whether or not this bug exists in other Right-To-Left languages versions, and I’ll update here when I’ll know.
Anyway I’ll wait for the next version and will report back if this issue is fixed.
In the meantime a working workaround is to keep clicking the tab button in order to get to that box.
