With Avast Free shields on I cannot see my laptop. Shields off - networking works fine ( \sharename style ) – how can I fix it? :o ???
Both machines running Win7 x64.
Something is blocking avast! to access the internet. What firewall do you use?
Internet works fine, it’s just the connection between computers that gets broken when Shields are on.
Standard windows firewall only.
Try to configure the IP in the Web Shield. Try to configure the process you are using to connect to that IP in the Web Shield. Please report back.
Hmm, that might have fixed it, but it seems to be intermittently being blocked. I’m going to have to get back to this… thanks.
