Avast Free Edition download link not working

The download link for the free edition is not working at the following page:

http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

If anyone from Alwin monitors this forum, I thought you might want to know this so that the link can be fixed.

The download links for the Professional edition and AIS both work.

Works fine for me.

Well it’s not working for me :frowning:

This needs to be addressed quickly.

(Judging by your picture YoKenny, this wasn’t from the avast website.)

Using Firefox, Chrome or other browser ???

The free version is from Brothersoft for me:

In chrome it’s not working. Doesn’t show the download option.

It does in IE9, Opera and Firefox

It’s not working for me in either Firefox 3.6.13 or IE8. To be clear, I’m talking about the download button at the bottom of the product description. The download buttons for the Pro and Internet Security editions do work.

In the Chrome, there isn’t any download button. ???

Someone at Alwil really does need to fix this. Does Alwil monitor this particular forum?

They do and I’ve already notified the Mod’s

Super! Thanks, Bob.

No problem, have a great day or night.
Just hope it’s taken care of soon.

The link rwaters posted works in Opera 11 and takes you to cnet.com for downloading.
Perhaps it has been fixed now.

If you prefer to download directly from avast , go to the link below. I prefer this link as it will more likely have the latest download.

Brothersoft ??! Are you kidding ? The site is known for hosting malware.

confirming Brothersoft is a site to avoid

And some good pirated and cracked versions ;D

Off topic wouldn’t cure the fact that the site still hasn’t been fixed. :o

Why are they using Brothersoft for the Free download ???

They promised to get rid of the malware there: ???

I have just been informed that this is a problem with the latest Google Chrome developers Build and,
It may take some time before it’s resolved.
The advice is to [b]use a stable build of Chrome or any one of the other browser when visiting:
