I’m really new to the program. When I downloaded the Avast Free Edition, It asked or informed me that it was also downloading Google Chrome. Well, I downloaded and installed the program “Avast Free Edition” the following day. I have had No problems with the version 5.0.377 but I( am not able to find the Web browser Google Chrome.
Would someone please tell me where it is located. thanks for your time and understanding.

I presume that you actually chose to download and install Google Chrome?
During the install you should have been prompted about the chrome installation (see image) and you choose the option.
Not having installed Chrome myself I don’t know too much about it, but it seems as though it doesn’t install to the normal location:
In Windows XP Google Chrome will be installed in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\ directory. In Windows Vista Google Chrome will be installed in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\ directory.Replace C: with the drive windows is installed in and UserName with the windows users you installed chrome with. We are not sure why they install in the Local App Data folder, and they do not provide any way to change the settings, while you are installing the software. You can easily uninstall Google Chrome through the control panel.
Can you find it there?

Scott, thanks for the prompt reply and I checked exactly where you stated with windows Explorer and “No” it is not there and I just thought it was included in the download, as I’m sure I agreed to having it, “It was a rather large download.” any how, thanks again Happy New Year
