I’ve had the paid version in the past, but installed the free version yesterday as a trial. To my astonishment, it prevented Parallels from loading. Given that my ability to run Windows software via Parallels is my main activity, this is upsetting. I’ve turned off file scanning for the present, but am considering uninstalling completely. I’d thought my issue was Apple downloads. If there’s no way to indicate that a “process” is legitimate, then I don’t want Avast.
