Newly installed Avast! Free. Ran full scan and it has been an hour and counting on my Windows XP system and Avast! hasn’t gotten past C:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\MsMpEng.exe. Infected? Normal? Thanks for your thoughts.
CPU time is being taken by AvastUI and Unsecapp, so SOMETHING seems to be happening, but I don’t know what. Perhaps the scanned file list isn’t being updated and it is running normally in the background?
