When i tried to install the last avast on windows 2000, the setup says he needs the hotfix 816542, but i can’t find that update.
What should i do to fix this?

Why are you using such an old Operating system?
It’s very insecure as support ended in July 2010.

Please take note: for Windows 2000, the SP4 is needed, but also Rollup Update 1 (RU1) is needed.
The original KB is now (and since a long time ago) part of it.
The requirements should say “Win2K+SP4+RU1”.
