Avast Free is considering Namebench-1.3.1-Windows.exe like a viruses.

Hi,

Today, and I can’t say since when (the last time I used was 15 days ago) I found that Avast Free is considering Namebench-1.3.1-Windows.exe like a viruses. ¿Why not before? The only explanation is: recent virus definition updates.

Namebench is a useful and tiny app, from Google, to find the best/fast DNS servers for your internet conection.

Does anyone else has experienced the same problem or can explain me what is going on?

Thanks in advance.

Pondus, Hi. Thanks.

I already verified Namebench on Virus Total and the result is: 1/55. Only Avast is considering Namebench like a viruses (Win32:Malware-Gen). That say to me: is a false positive.

Strange. Previously not considered virus.

Thanks.
