Avast FREE is warning me of a program trying to open called: Airytec SwitchOff

Hi. I have a small program installed called Airytec SwitchOff. Basically, what it does is enables the user to schedule tasks such as: shutting down computer, restarting computer, going to sleep or standby modes, etc. I’ve had this program installed for a few months now.

About a week or so ago, I installed the latest version of Avast Antivirus Free v. 6.1.0.1000. Since then, every time I boot up my computer I get a warning pop-up message saying that Airytec SwitchOff is a potentially dangerous program and recommends opening it in the sandbox. I have no reason to suspect something bad about SwitchOff, so I have just been allowing it to open normally assuming that the warning is a false positive.

But I thought I’d check here to see if someone knows about this, or thinks that possibly I should take precautions.

BTW, I’m running Windows XP (sp3)

Thanks you. ;D

What is the malware name (in full) that is given, I suspect that it has a [PUP] suffix ?

If not what is the full alert info ?

Re it happening on boot, exactly when is this alert, roughly 8 minutes after boot, which would mean it is the anti-rootkit scan alerting ?
