Avast Free - license expired

I’ve been using Avast for several years and this has never happened before. Anyone know why every day when I start my pc, Avast tells me that my license has expired? Every single day I follow the prompts to “renew my license,” and there will still be a banner saying my license is expired and then the next time I restart my pc, it still says it and prompts me to renew. I’ve gone to my subscriptions to make it sure it’s free. I don’t even know if I’m being protected anymore. I can’t get a hold of a customer service agent. Should I just move on to a new company?
