avast free, malwarebytes free, adblockplus

Hello,

Is there a conflict if I install avast free , malwarebytes free and adblockplus in my laptop or be a conflict in the future? Can I recognize if there conflict?

avast and Malwarebytes should be conflict free

They should work fine together.
If you can recognize a conflict depends mostly on your knowledge.

No problems here with that combination and my MBAM is the Premium version.

Why I cant scan safe mode?I know that I can scan in boot time but is it better to also in safe mode?

Avast doesn’t work/scan in safe mode.

you dont need to scan in safemode when you have boot time scan …

anyway this is not something you should do as a regular scan http://www.avast.com/en-eu/faq.php?article=AVKB132#artTitle

Important: Please be advised, that the Boot-time scan is an advanced and purposeful feature designed to be used only when there’s something bad going on the system, and usually takes some time before it finishes. That's why it cannot be scheduled to run every time the computer starts, but as needed only.

Ok thank you.

I am concern about the conflicts in the future. Eddy told me that recognize conflict depend in my knowlenge. The problem is that I will install avast free + malwarebytes in laptop that the owner of this laptop is begginer. So can she recognize the conflict? I want to install both programms .but I am confused.

There shouldn’t be any conflict, especially if only using the free version of Malwarebytes.

If you use the Pro version of Malwarebytes and are overly concerned about it then exclude each others program files from one another.

Ι have last question.Do I need to update everyday avast? or is auto-update?

It is auto update…
It also have something called stream updates … you recive updates evry 3-15 minutes

Avast blog http://blog.avast.com/2013/09/16/seeking-perfection/#more-18228

Avast update http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB22#artTitle

So I will choose auto-update virus definitiond and program and will auto update. I didnt understand stream updates. Will stream updates will be auto update with virus definitions?

maybe Bob’s video will help. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SCkAeu60s18

If I understood correctly stream updates will be auto update only if I am online. Right?

Not sure exactly what you mean by being on-line, e.g. you physically browsing. If you haven’t got a connection then you won’t be getting these updates.

If your computer is on and you have a connection, your computer is on-line - you should be getting the streaming updates - they happen automatically in the background. You must have the avast virus definitions update set to Automatic as that is a requirement for getting the streaming updates.

Thank you. I have two partitions in my hard drive D,C. If I choose full scan with avast free will scan both partitions?

Yes.

Here says that https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=88458.0 should choose folder to scan and then choose c and d.

That wasn’t the same question. Craig gave you the correct answer.
