I use Online Armor Free , and i am going to install Avast Free , my question is , are there any known conflicts between the two ?
And if i install it , i will exclude the whole Avast map from monitoring in Online Armor Free.
But in Avast , i only have to exclude the running processes of Online Armor Free that are visible in the process manager right ? or do i have to exclude the whole Online Armor map in Avast ?
And can Avast webshield + WebRep work together with the webprotection of Online Armor Free ? and also with my Firefox add-ons Ghostery and AdblockPlus ?
And Online Armor Free has a feature , that you can run your browser in limited rights ( run safer ) , sort of a similar thing as DropMyRights , will Avast webshield + WebRep 100% work in that ?
And will Avast also detect malicious things and everything if i run my browser in limited rights ?
Will everything i listed , work together ? will there be no complications in any form or shape ?
And if i install it , i will exclude the whole Avast map from monitoring in Online Armor Free.
You should set mutually exclusions (e. g., for WinXP exclude “C:\Porgram Files\AVAST Software” in OA including subfolders)
But in Avast , i only have to exclude the running processes of Online Armor Free that are visible in the process manager right ? or do i have to exclude the whole Online Armor map in Avast ?
It depends on the specific Avast real-time shield.
For example, in the File System Shield you should exclude the whole OA folder, including subfolders.
Browse each real time shield options (Expert Settings) and set the exclusions thoroughly where you can.
And can Avast webshield + WebRep work together with the webprotection of Online Armor Free ?
Sure (However, I don’t use WebRep).

Sure.

I think so (However, I don’t use WebRep)

Obviously it depends on your system. There is no absolute certainty when we talk about security software interactions.
For your convenience here is my current set-up (keep in mind that it’s just an example):
Win XP Pro SP3 (Hardware DEP)
Avast! Free AV 6/7 (Behavior/Script Shield removed)
Online Armor Free 5.5.0.1557
*Avast!/OA mutually excluded
Honestly, for the moment I would exclude OA only from the File System shield and Behavior shield and see what happens.
Again, keep in mind that I don’t use neither Behaviour nor Script shield, but I guess it’s good and recommended to exclude OA processes from the Behavior shield.
In the past (some weeks ago) I had OA processes that connect to the Web (oaui.exe / oasrv.exe / oadump.exe / oamine.exe / oarau.exe/ oascan.exe) excluded from Avast Web Shield. However, now I have no exclusion for OA set in Avast Web Shield and everything seems to work as expected.
I have never excluded OA from any of the other real-time shields though. It’s on you, as I wrote before, it depends on your system.
They are fully compatible, I had no problems for 3 years. Do not cut off the ingredients, just add them to the exclusion (in Avast’s file-shield, not in the general settings)
