Avast Free - Problems with proxy running over PfSense

Good morning, I hope everyone is well. The following query is due to a problem I am having with Avast Free Antivirus. The question is the following, I have a proxy with pfSense and it is generating connection problems with Avast software.

It happens that in the first instance the software did not want to install because it told me that there was no internet connection. So I deactivated the proxy to be able to install avast. However, after installing another avast I proceeded to re-enable the proxy. And I am having problems with avast at the level that it does not allow me to update its databases and when I open the menu option in the avast interface I do not get the option to log in, it tells me something about online content not being available.

And I really have been trying for a week to figure out how to solve this problem I have, but I have not been able to determine the problem.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

I once tried to run avast v18.8 through a proxy. I enabled the proxy connection in the settings on the “update” tab, specified the address and port. Everything worked fine. But there were problems with activation. Avast began to send a message very, very often that the activation is not valid. I did not find any solutions to this problem and did not try to run it through the proxy anymore.

Hi Nom, thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. I have really looked into the cause of why this is happening. But to date I have not been able to come up with a solution.
