Hi there,i have a problem with my computer when i click on a topic after googling it auto redirects onto random sites,also the computer sometimes crashes with errors,some sort of adware maybe…Avast cannot touch it as it says it cannot connect to the server to update,obviously something to do with whatever is causing the problem,would appreciate any help with getting avast to update
Are you being redirected to other sites with all browsers and when did this problem start?
Have you tried an Avast scan, and if so is anything in the Virus Chest?
What other security software do you have on this machine?

Follow the directions of obtaining an MBAM log (make sure you update MBAM first) and the OTL logs (save the OTL logs as ANSI and not Unicode). When the OTL scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. Post the MBAM log and the two (2) OTL log as an attachments (Additional Options > Attach > Browse (the logs will be on your desktop > Post). We will analyze them after you post your logs and if needed have our Malware Removal Expert assist with your case. Thank you.
Hi Safe surf both browsers i use have the same problem,i will try an avast scan now,i dont have any other security software…Thankyou for your reply
Please report on your Avast scan, then follow my directions in Post #2 and attach your MBAM and OTL logs to your next post after that as these will give us a lot of information to help you.
