I asked sometihng like this before but im not sure about this ,

In Avast Free , the maximum update interval is 120 minutes right ?

But why is it set at 240 minutes at default ?

And in paid version of Avast , is it also 120 minutes max ?

Normal VPS release is two times a day.....more if needed....and sometimes there are none so checking for updates every 4 hour should be enough.....and it also check after every boot

yes…it checks at startup and then every 120 min if not turned off

While it’s theoretically possible to have two updates within a 120 min. period, it’s pretty uncommon with Avast. I suspect that’s why it’s not the default. Avast simply doesn’t update that often. You can set it to that, but you won’t really be any better off.
