Avast! free - update - what it means?

Hi,
I was wondering what it means, that avast!PRO, and avast!IS comes with “faster update”. Does it mean, that the users who have paid for avast can get an update earlier then free users? Or it just means that the download speed for free users depends on how many free users are downloading it the same time. So, it means earlier or just faster downloading updates? I think it is really important, and for me from “faster updates” it doesn’t turn out. So please, answer it! THX

It only means this: the free version only auto-checks every 4 hours for updates, the pro every 60 Minutes.
Which means that when to set to “auto-update”, the Pro might get the new virus definitions up to 4 hrs earlier.
That’s all.
You can invoke a manual update search on the free version every Minute if you wish.

Go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then update your Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice.

In Account Related Settings select Hide email address from public? to prevent scammers and spammers harvesting your gmail.com email address.

Thanks. In some way these are good news, but bads in the other… However, I’ve already found out how to force the automatic updates hourly in the free version ^^, so far it’s working.
