I have installed only Fileshield & Webshield.
How the upgrade happens i.e does the upgrade again offers all the features or only new features, & google chrome too?
All update from Windows Control Panel offers all available features, installed, not installed and new ones.
The update within the avast! interface will keep updated all the features already installed and will install the ones in that particular avast! version.
What do you mean by updates through windows control panel?
So update through interface will update installed features & install the new features in that Avast version?
I think it should ask for new features, offcoz not for core protection features but for additional stuffs.
Open Windows Control Panel.
Program Options (or Add/Remove Programs).
Choose avast > Uninstall/Change
Then choose Repair or Add/Remove features.
