Hi, I have just installed AVAST Free and it seems to be causing issues with Thunderbird.
Everytime I try and send an email I get a Error 10060 as incorrect greeting: Cannot connect to SMTP server.
I have checked and the port used by TB and AVAST is 25!
I have tried using SSL, with username etc I have tried offer ports!! Nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?

PS everything I have read so far notes somethinga bout SSL…not something I use.
I just use port 25 like I have done for years, and using AVG I should add.
The error has only occured when I started AVAST!!
