Hello!
I installed avast! Free V7.0.1456 (from scratch) 7 weeks ago on a Windows 2000-PC → it worked perfect (Stream- and VPS-Updates). On Monday I updated to V7.0.1466 via GUI (Maintenance → Update → Update Program). This worked, all 3 steps were OK, and the re-start too → no problems.
Yesterday (for Windows 2000-testing purposes), I pulled the network-cable (to be offline), started the PC and de-installed V7.0.1466 via “Control Panel → Software”. At the question “Do you want to restart now?”, I choose “no”. After that, I couldn’t close the program “mshta.exe” in a normal way to make a re-start by myself (see screenshot).
Now my question:
Is it “standard” that the “Control Panel → Software” cannot be closed normally after de-installing V7.0.1466?
By the way: I had the upper behavior at versions 1447 (Beta) and 1451 (official release) too - BUT NOT on 1456!
THANK YOU for the W2k-support of avast!
