AVAST Free will not start, even after repair

When my PC reboots, I get an error message for AVASTUI.EXE 0XC0150004.
If I try to start Avast, same thing.
I did the Avast REPAIR, still won’t start.
I have Avast Cleanup Pro installed and it works ok.

Any ideas?

The same happen in the latest free avast, i have to uninstall and replace it with another antivirus. Thanks a lot was not my main computer.
The step to resolve it do nogthing in my case, perhaps work for you.
Search the avast services and test if they make an automatic start and are working.
Enable the remote services(TermService) to automatic, start it, restart the computer.
Make a complete unistall of avast and reinstall it.

Can you try the following and see if it helps?

  1. Locate Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 2015 in the list of installed applications.
  2. Select this entry, click Change and then Repair
  3. Restart

I’ll try uninstall/reinstall AVAST next.

Just re-installed AVAST FREE. Surprised it was so much faster to install than I remember, and equally surprised it did not ask for a re-boot.
So far it seems to be working, doing its initial scan right now. So when done, I’ll reboot and see and report back.

All seems normal now.
I don’t know why the problem suddenly appeared a few days ago and I don’t know why AVAST Repair did not work.
