Using latest version, I ran a full scan, it stopped on a SVC file and was stuck there for 30+ mins so I ran a repair, rebooted and tried again.
Second time, it got stuck on a SVC file again and the scan wasn’t continuing so I did a clean install.
Even after a clean install and 3 reboots the full scan gets stuck on SVC files - see image attached.
I have created a memory dump of AvastSvc when it was stuck for more than 20 mins.
If anyone from the avast team needs the dump, just let me know.
Bump… there is an issue with the full scans.
Also with Smart Scan for some users.
I have had no issue with either the Smart or Quick Scans.
I just read a post from someone from 2012 and in his case it was caused by a external drive that was attached.

I have no other external devices attached.
The quick and smart scans run without any issues so it’s just the full scan issue for me.

Has anyone with Windows 10 64-bit tried a full scan?
I’m using Windows 10 64-bit and I ran a full scan. Took over an hour to complete.
I’m using Windows 7 64-bit ,ran a full scan, took 90 minutes to complete. Quick scan doesn’t run at all.
Bump… so there is some sort of issues with the scans…
