You have posted this before and received replies, nothing has changed.
The free version now has these toaster popups. Just ignore them as I do.
Strangely enough I never ever got one of those. Why am I being excluded ? lol !
Since last October I got only three pop ups about upgrading and that’s it.
It is all about upgrading…no gift 
I agree that the gift popup is annoying. I see why Avast needs to promote software, but making it look like it is a gift feels like clickbait to me. Maybe they will fix it.
Are you telling me you were surprised - I knew that was going to be that and I never even received it. The gift I guess would have been a reduced price.
