Avast! GrimeFighter on Windows 8.1 help?!

Hello all.

I have opened multiple tickets about a week ago, and didn’t get a response. So, I’ll try and open up a thread here so somebody can help me.

Okay so, I purchased Avast! GrimeFighter and I instantly ran a scan. It said I have 9 potential errors, and I wanted to clean them up. It did that thing where it sedates your PC and has a loading screen at the bottom which goes up to 100%. It did that, then once the PC has been sedated, nothing happens. It’s just stuck on a grey screen. I left it overnight from 8PM until 4AM and nothing happened. I reset my PC and did it all again, the same thing happened. But, I left it on the grey screen for over 31 hours…and still nothing.

Any idea why it’s not working for me?

The main problem is that you have submitted multiple tickets.
Each time you submit a new one or change a existing one, you will be put back to the bottom of the stack.
This has been explained a huge amount of times already.

Your second problem is that you don’t have patience.
This has also been explained a huge amount of times.
avast is trying to handle all tickets within 10 business days.
If people submit multiple tickets/keep changing them,
it will make the waiting list only longer because they are cluttering the system.

As also has been explained many times,
if GrimeFighter doesn’t work on your system ask for a refund.

I saw a YouTube video in which a Windows 8.1 user gets GrimeFighter to work on his Dell computer. I have an HP with 8.1, but I was never able to get GrimeFighter to work with it. I did get my refund.

I Have same issue on on lenovo laptop. how to solve this issue?

If it is not working on your system there is nothing you can do about it.
Just ask for a refund.
