First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
As far as I’m aware the Email Guardian is the Avast One name for the Avast Mail Shield and that is only looking for virus/malware and not Spam or Scam email.
I use Avast Antivirus Free and this is what is in the Mail Shield settings (I don’t know if this is the same for the Email Guardian).
