avast! had detected threats in my memory..

avast! had detected 5 threats in my memory…these are 5 high THREATS but i cant do anything in action. avast cannot delete nor move to chset the threats… what should i do to remove it? pls help me… it slows down my computer… you can email me istead… this is my e.mail add… danbon1994@yahoo.com

since it is not a file that can be deleted/moved…but a process in memory, the button is gray

write down the full detection on one of these and post here…or better attach a screenshot and we can tell you what you have detected

detection in memory is usually a result of the user changing the default scan settings, and dont know the result of doing so
the “scan memory” setting will give some veird results…so the short story is DONT use the “scan memory” setting
usually what you detect are virus signatures from other security programs installed loaded in memory

the threats dissaper when i restarted my laptop. i scan it agen and it says. “no threats detected.” …where did the threats go?had it been deleeted?

nope..... as i explained above it cant be deleted bc it is not a file

what you usually detect when using that scan setting is signatures from other Security programs loaded in memory, when you rebooted that program may not have started again

but since you dont tell us what was detected, this is just guesswork ::slight_smile:
