After years of using Avast, I think i’m going to give another anti virus software a shot. I’m pretty smart about my web searches and don’t ever download questionable things, so all the extra protection in avast just isn’t needed.
However the thing that is really having me make the switch is all the popups avast has now in the bottom right hand corner. It has become a nuisance, and to make matters worse I thought I’d turned them off in the settings, but they keep appearing. I still believe Avast is a great product, it just isn’t for me.
hey what popup do you get from avast? can you provide a pic so we can help you. the only popup i get from avast is virus database update, program updates, and once in month how well avast have protect my computer. nothing annoying about that.
When installing Avast you can do a custom installation and only install what you need. Also, if you don’t want any popups just permanently enable gaming mode.
