EDIT EDIT: I have fixed the issue. I made sure on another laptop (that had the same files) where the file (that was removed) had to go. Once I was sure I clicked restore and Avast put it back. The build works and I have everything working but I do not want it happening again. How do I prevent this and why did Avast do this? (giving me quite a fright!!!)
EDIT: Some quick research has allowed me to find out that some other people have had the issue. Its called a ‘false positive’ and I can ‘restore’ the file. Not sure what you think of this?
So I downloaded Avast free yesterday (I think I have some trial version atm).
I recieved a warning that Avast had removed or blocked a ‘threat’. The file location is in the ‘Android sdk’ folders. These sets of folders is what allows me to ‘build’ or transfer Unity projects onto my Android mobile phone.
I open my Unity project and proceed to creating a ‘build’ file (in the form of an .apk). And for some reason it is not showing the file build…like the ‘building’ process gets cut off or stops…I have no idea
What on earth is going on here? Why has Avast done this? Is it the cause to my build not working anymore?
Right clicking the file to report it does not seem to be working. Nothing pops up. I will try restarting my PC.
Also as I have already restored the file back to its original place (Android SDK folders), shall I also click ‘restore and add to exclusions’ ? It wont restore it twice will it?
Ye thanks for the link, I have already done that before I posted the forum. Will just have to wait, hopefully they can tell me how to stop that happening in the future as it was an important file that was removed as a ‘threat’

It wasn’t removed but placed into the virus chest. From there it can be retrieved. There’s a big difference

So you mean it wasnt removed from its initial folder? I couldnt ‘build’ my Unity project onto my phone. As soon as I retrieve the file from the chest, and its back to its original position, it worked again
