Sometimes,AVG or any AV program that says avast has a virus is actually a simple explaination. The patner AV program is detecting avast’s virus definations which have identification patterns for viruses.

These patterns are being detected as virus. They are harmless and in reality are avast virus definations.

Although considering the fact that is not the case here. What avg caught here was a file of avast that had some expired associations with open candy. They now have dropped the association with them.

This is one of many reasons you shouldnt use 2 AV programs together and they will fight and cause such issues which average user thinks is some real problem with avast! or other program and AVG is a avast competitor in terms of free AV so no doubt! Personally,I hate AVG and it misses a whole bunch of stuff I see everyday.

I dont understand why people go ahead and uninstall avast without hearing the facts.Anyway,I have done my part here.
