HELP!

Got a problem. I finally let it update. Been running fine for quite a long time without allowing updates… Now it’s 4.6.691

After this occured, Outlook 2003 will no longer send/receive with my POP profile. This occurs on both XP and XPx64.

No other virus program installed or ever installed. On the XP x64, if I disable ALL of avast, it sends/receives.

Worst part is,with it running, it never even “attempts” to connect. no errors, no messages, nothing for me to troubleshoot.

All SMTP/POP settings are fine.

Anyone have any ideas? I hate to have to uninstall and switch to something else. But, I can’t use my machine effectively without ANY email (Or any virus scan)

I searched the forums and found similar issues, but most of the problems for for Win 98, etc.

Make sure Avast components have the correct permission in your firewall.
Are you using ssl for the email?

Not using SSL, no firewall enabled. Any other ideas?

Strange… did you ever receive errors messages?

Are you sure?
If so, the only possibility is checking if all avast! components have firewall access.
