Hi there,
I had to uninstall avast antivirus after I used TuneUp Utilities to change the boot screen and the login screen of Win XP 64-bit.
And that’s every time the same error:
After rebooting to activate the new screens there always appears a blue screen while windows is booting up. When I start in save mode everything works fine. So after uninstalling avast Windows works again properly…
I’m very sad about that.
Maybe there is a solution?!

avast shouldn’t block the Windows access just because you’ve changed the boot screen.
Are you saying that uninstalling avast! the new boot screen works?
Is there any useful information into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Events, specially ‘Errors’?

I’ve looked into the messages but haven’t found anything which looks like an error caused by avast. There is always a blue screen coming up at the boot sequence when I changed the boot screen with tuneUp and having avast installed…
