When I scan for viruses, whenever I choose to “move to chest”, I get the message that there is not enough space on the disk. Invariably I choose delete to avoid this. I have attached the screenshot of the message to this. I have enough space in the hard drive in all the partitions. Only 50% of the partition is used as of now.
May I request an expert guide me to as to how I can avoid this? Thanks
First scan them again from within the chest, if they are still detected as infected, yes, delete.
Personally I wouldn’t set ‘anything’ to unlimited and that would include the avast chest. Mine is set to 512MB, that would give room for lots of 3000 KB files (in your example) if something is so big that it would exceed that total I would want to know rather than have it grow enormous.
I have corrected the size to 512mb. I want to delete a couple of virus chest files which are more than 50mb. I am unable to delete them from the chest. How do I do it? I tried as recommended in the help. But it always says it is protected or currently in use. Need some advise from the experts. Thanks
Why couldn’t you delete them from the chest, e.g. what errors were displayed ?
How are you trying to delete them (from within the chest or using explorer, etc.) ?
