I have a question concerning the home license. When the update period is over, does avast display a warning to re register the key? If yes, is in this warning a link to the registration page included?

Yes, it warns and yes, there is a link to the registration page.
The registration key is valid for one year.
The home license is actually valid for 14 months.
You can right click the avast ‘a’ icon, select about avast!, check the Updates expiration: date (make a not in your diary, just in case).
Complete the avast! 4 Home Registration form and you will receive an email from register @ avast.com (without the spaces) with your registration key.

I am already registered, but the reason I asked is that if I install avast for friends and they are beginners, that they receive a message with the link to re register!
An old wish of all of us… an automatic registering system, making not necessary to connect trough the browser, etc. etc.
