I scanned my home network last night using the Avast Home Network Security Scan in the Avast for Mac platform and received a vulnerability stated my network was at risk for router hijacking.
I had run this same test earlier in the week and did not have this issue and have no reason to suspect foul play, but was wondering if it threw an alert due to the following:
On my mac (when connected to my home router) my DNS is pointed to 192.168.1.1 the router itself I configured to OpenDNS name servers (and these haven’t changed in months"). After receiving the alert I went to the http://www.opendns.com/welcome and was shown that I was in fact going through OpenDNS, so I wonder what would’ve caused this error and is there anything else I can do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
