Hey! i am a new user of avast home and i have a question…why does my standard shield detect something wrong when avast does a search for updates? it says it has detected a souspicious operation in its own folder with setiface.dll???
Anybdy know?please help
Can you please post the exact warning text virus name, etc. or post a screen shot.

Looks like you have been tweaking the avast settings not know what the consequences of your actions might be. I suggest you reset the blocker actions back to there default settings, unchecked, see image.
When avast checks for updates, if there is an update available it would appear that this file is being opened for writing.
