Just a question please.
I am currently using a ‘pay for’ AV program which is expiring very soon. Am still using Windows ME before I upgrade in the very near future.
After some reading, I am seriously considering to try Avast Home (free). I did notice though, that not all the protection items listed in the free program supported Windows ME.
My question is: Does Avast Home, free edition have the ‘real-time’ virus protection to support Windows ME? Or maybe I missed something.
Thanks.
Yes. All real-time protection modules except Script Blocker are in the free Home edition.
This page compares avast! Pro (paid) and Home (free) http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-compare-home-professional.html .
Items marked * or ** are not supported with ME.
Some features are only present in 2k\XP\Vista, but they’re related to operational system and not avast, i.e., all you can get at Me is present in avast Home version (except the Script Blocker and automated features of the avast Pro version).
