Avast Antivirus is spamming my Taskbar, and it’s eating up a considerable amount of my memory. When I hover over the Icon, all of the icons subsequently disappear until they’re right below my cursor. It’s an annoying issue - and I’m about to uninstall avast because of it. Anyone able to offer any support?
Perform a repair of avast.
If that doesn’t solve it, perform a clean installation and see if the problem is solved or not.
If not, provide details like :
What exact OS/SP ?
What exact avast version ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)
etc.
Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
