I’m looking for an antivirus running under Linux Server (Debian or SuSe) who can distribute updates to windows xp clients. Is it possible with avast ?

You mean act like a mirror of our updating servers?
Yes ! I want to make a mirror site 
And force clients to get update from this mirror.

Well, does the mirror machine need to be running linux? We have a mirroring system for Windows but not for linux (in previous version of avast, the mirror was implemented in perl and hence was platform independent, but for some reasons, it is now a Windows binary).
