I just bought a new laptop and it came with Avast! preloaded. The problem is, it is in what appears to be Czechoslovakian and I don’t understand Czech! I have no idea how to change to english, because every option is given to me in a language I don’t understand.
Please tell me how to change to english, or at least, what the Czech word for ‘uninstall’ is.

Control panel > add/remove > avast > uninstall/change > choose change > select the language you want
Well, that might be a little problem, because even the control panel applet will be in Czech. It’s not clear whether you actually have the English version installed (and only set to Czech), or the English package is not installed at all.
I’m afraid the easiest solution would be to uninstall the program using the uninstallation utility, then download the corresponding (English) installation package from our web pages and install it again.
