Hi and hello to everyone, this is my first time to join your forum for some certain problem i encoutered after the new patch or version of avast last Jan.3, 2011, it gives incompatibility issue for gameguard, after this avast new patch for this year 2011 it brought me a a problem , i never play anymore my favorite online games like ran online,SF,all games with gameguard utilties caused by a new patch of avast, there are a lot of avast users having this kind of problem and i will be the one to represent them, hoping for your kind consideration to solve this problem.
Maybe you could try to install the latest 5.1.884 version that, in theory, solves incompatibilities with games.
I dont want to hi jack it but it doesn’t work for me (windows 7)

I have the same problem, ever since the 5.1.889 update, nprotect game guard could never be initialized. Avast needs to fix this problem.
Frankly GameGuard should hack less.
Avast ! is there to protect you against virus etc.
Gameguard protect nothing (yeah yeah it’s a any cheat tool…)
Get real please. Gameguard should be banned for the hacks it does to your system. And you even let it. Beyond me.
Here is an idea… Stop pumping cash into games with Gameguard. Those companies will only stop using it if they get hurt in their profits.
