Avast India currency mismatch

Hi Guys,

I recently bought the avast internet security from avast india site. It say in INR but the charge was in Dollar.

I can see 300 + inr difference than listed in the invoice. I pay extra for nothing. As it was ment to charge local currency.

I am not sure if i can continue using it.

I have to ask for refund if this is the case.

What avast India site ?

If it were a local site then it would be strange to be charged in dollars.

Hello macho,

In our Indian store the INRs are being used only as a display currency. However on the Order Review Page there is always a message saying we will charge your CC in USDs, and the amount. The USD amount is calculated based on the FX rate.

For example for 3104 INR it says 50.37 USD which matches the FX rate. Wasn’t there any tax applied? You can PM me your order # and I’ll take a look into that.
