I have just installed avast 6 and it shows my individualy report / history that that it has 419 object scanned in WEB AND NETWORK PROTECTION part on security report. how is this possible ??? any guideline, suggestion is highly appreciated.

Well… Did you browse meanwhile? Does any program is connected in background or updating itself?
Web Shield scans and protect all internet traffic 
Just did Avast update and it updated successfully. So in this update progress did it scan 419 web pages ??? , how! it updates from its own server…
It’s not web pages but “objects”. Each file, each script in the page, each OLE object, each image, etc. were scanned and counted.
