I ran a bootscan this morning and found two viruses, they weren’t repairable so I put the files in chest. A short time ago I ran another scan, just for peace of mind and to my horror and alert sound and another one has reared its ugly head, but this time it’s in AVAST!!!

Here is the name of the little beast and the file its infected:
JS:Seeker-Gen
C/ProgramFiles/AlwilSoftware/Avast4/DATA/moved/pagefile.

When I realized that it was an Avast file I tried to repair it but failed, and of course I didn’t remove it, now the question is what course of action do I take now? Also would the Virus Tool be of any help? One more question is leaving well enough alone a possibility? I haven’t had any problems for months, could QuickTime or Media Player be the culprits for these infections? HELP!!!

Look at the location it is in  Ofcourse Avast finds it there, cause that is the place you moved the infected files to. Delete the file(s) from the virus chest.

Hey!!
You’re so right, I didn’t even pay attention because I was in such a panic!! Will get rid of the buggers immediately!! Thanks!!

@ SCORPIONINBLUE,

It’s difficult to unpeel yourself from the ceiling when the siren goes off isn’t it? ;D
